Minister of Children – Laura Powell
Laura Powell and her husband, Jim, have been married for 17 years. They have four children - Ellie, Jacob, Eden and Joshua. The family moved from Island Lake to Woodstock three years ago, and Laura began serving as the Children’s Minister at Woodstock Christian Church. Prior to this ministry, she had several years experience ministering to children of all ages, from toddlers to pre-teens. Jim leads the Psalm 100 (PS 100), the Adventure Kingdom’s worship band, where children ages 7 – 12, have a great time singing, dancing and praising God! Laura hopes to lead them to Christ by having fun. She also follows a biblically-based curriculum, with activities and songs that go along with each lesson. Laura feels it is her privilege to be able to serve God in this way, letting the children come to know Him.
